and the plan is .....

Good news, we are staying here in Pearland for at least the month of April .... maybe May also (?).
We had a "community meeting" of the three of us and decided to just sit still and save diesel for awhile...... also, we want to make sure that Vera's blood pressure is going to be stable.

We have a great Clubhouse and very diverse activity selection.  There are almost always groups of people doing one thing or another... or not (just sitting and talking). Yesterday we three were in there folding clothes (the big tables are easier than the little laundry room table), and there were two ladies who had set up their sewing machines and were making grandchildren's clothes, someone was in the exercise room, and of course I had to stop by the puzzle room. There are usually 4 or 5 jigsaw puzzles going at any one time.
Saturday they had a BBQ potluck, with the meat provided. Yesterday they had a Ladies Nite Out to a local restaurant; tonite is our Bible Study, Wednesday is the Ice Cream Social ($2); Friday nite is the Block Party; this Saturday is the Pancake Breakfast ($3).... it really can keep you involved, and we have made lots of friends.

So, I will keep you updated about any exciting events or trips; but generally speaking we are just going to be homebodies for awhile.

"home base"

We are back here in Pearland, south of Houston, in our favorite campground Advanced RV Resort.  We consider this as 'home' and have many friends here.  There is a multitude of activities to partake in; and we have been very busy.  Our target date for heading west is April 1st; and we have started getting our 'fix-it/repair' list worked on.  I had about 16 items on it .... everything from reseal around the sinks and faucets, to replacing a backup taillight, to lubricating the slide gaskets. So we found a mobile repairman who is good at most anything and has been chipping away at the list for us.

We still don't know exactly where we are heading, except that Tuscon, AZ will be our first major stop.
